Here you can see different conferences held within the framework of the 'Water and World' conference cycle with the aim of promoting environmental protection and responsible water consumption.
This year, the Aigua i Món'20 cycle has 4 more lectures that are held on Thursdays at at the Aula de l'Aigua, where Aigües de Sabadell offers all activities, workshops and water-related educational and pedagogical initiatives. Access is free, but due to the limited capacity of the classroom, registration is required. To register, please send an email to fundacio@cassa.es.

Climate Emergency Decree in Catalonia and its impact on the water vector.

Aigua i Món, which reaches its 4th edition in 2020, will start on Thursday, February 20 and will program a total of 4 sessions in February, April, June and October.
The presentations, open to the public with previous registration at fundacio@cassa.es, will take place again in Aula de l'Aigua. In the previous editions of Water and World (2017-2019), a total of 1.200 people attended.

On Thursday, February 20 at 18h, Aigües Sabadell will inaugurate Aigua i Món 2020 with the first session, led by Marta Subirà, Secretary of Environment and Sustainability of the Government of Catalonia, who will focus his presentation on the Emergency Decree Climate in Catalonia and its impact on the water vector.

The well-known meteorologist Mònica Usart will explain all the details and anecdotes involved in drawing up the weather forecast for the media. His presentation will take place on Thursday, April 16 at 6 pm.
Bàrbara Díaz, Head of International Cooperation at the Red Cross
Not only are war conflicts causing humanitarian crises. There are more and more refugees in the world for reasons linked to climate change. Barbara Díaz, Head of International Cooperation at the Red Cross, will explain the importance of water in humanitarian crises: how can we guarantee access to safe drinking water, both for drinking and for ensuring the minimum sanitary conditions? The presentation will take place on Thursday, June 18 at 6 pm.
Dulcinea Meijide, Engineer and Director of Sustainable Development at SUEZ
And with this outlook, what can we do to try to reverse the effects of climate change? The Sustainable Development Goals drafted and approved by the UN are the best guide for acting globally, both public administrations, companies and the public. All the details will be given to us by Dulcinea Meijide, engineer and director of Sustainable Development at SUEZ. Its session will be Thursday, October 29 at 6 pm.
This year 2019 the program has top-level speakers in the field of water. The Conseller de Territori i Sostenibilitat de la Generalitat de Catalunya (Minister of Territory and Sustainability of the Generalitat of Catalonia), Damià Calvet, will be in charge of presenting the inaugural lecture, which will focus on climate change and its impact on the guarantee of water supply in Catalonia.
The well-known TV3 meteorologist, Tomàs Molina, will star in the second paper this year, which will take place on Thursday 4 April in the morning, in this case at 11 am. His presentation will focus on the extreme weather phenomena, paying special attention to our country and the aggravation of these phenomena as a consequence of climate change.
Aigües de Sabadell will also address this edition one of the most important problems in the world: pollution of rivers, seas and oceans. And it will be done by two specialists in the field, such as Damià Barceló and Miquel Paraira. Barceló is the director of the Catalan Institute for Water Research (ICRA), as well as a renowned and renowned professor and researcher. Paraira is a scientist and director of Water Quality of Aigües de Barcelona Barcelona.
Finally, in the last presentation of the year, the journalist and writer from Sabadell, Plàcid Garcia-Planas, will be in charge of reviewing the history of our city, valuing water as an indispensable element from the point of view of industrial textile power as for the growth and dignity of the citizens themselves.
